McAMS Racing and Danny Kent are eager to return to the track this Easter Weekend as R&G official testing resumes at Donington Park ahead of the 2025 Bennetts British Superbike Championship.
Kent and the squad are feeling positive ahead of their return to UK soil after a fruitful period of preparation at the Circuito de Navarra last week.
The team previously completed a productive testing plan to find a good feeling and a solid direction ahead of the season opener at Oulton Park on May Bank Holiday weekend.
The upcoming two days on track at Donington Park will be the team’s first appearance at the Leicestershire venue since September 2024, where the former Moto3 World Champion rode to a hard-fought podium finish in the final race of the weekend.
The fast and flowing nature of the 2.49-mile circuit plays into the strengths of both Kent and the Yamaha R1 package – boding well for another positive outing as the 2025 season opener draws nearer.
As anticipation continues to build ahead of Round 1 next month, the team are keen to continue from where they left off last week in the hope of making further steps forward with the package developed at the Circuito de Navarra.
2025 will see multiple new faces under the McAMS Racing stable, one of which being 11-time British Champion, Roger Marshall who stands in as Kent’s Rider Coach throughout the upcoming season.
The team have also taken on a new Data Technician and Chassis Technician ahead of their 2025 campaign, who both settled into the squad seamlessly while out in Spain.
Donington Park will offer not only a crucial opportunity to develop the R1 package further, but another chance for the team to work as one before the stakes are upped at the first round of the 2025 season.
