McAMS Racing Confident as Donington Park Awaits

The McAMS Racing squad and Danny Kent are feeling confident as the Bennetts British Superbike Championship heads to Donington Park for Round 3 of the 2024 season this weekend.

Coming off the back of a positive round at Oulton Park, the team are optimistic as they head towards the weekend, with their focus yet again set on battling at the front of the pack.

The Oulton Park Bank Holiday weekend fuelled a great degree of progress for the team.
At a track that was certain to come with its own challenges, Kent capped off the weekend with a trio of positive results and points for the championship.

Having only narrowly missed out on multiple top-three results, the hunger for podium finishes is stronger than ever and the team are committed to giving 110% in the pursuit of attaining a set of successful results.

The renowned Yamaha R1 Superbike possesses race-winning pedigree at Donington Park. Having demonstrated exceptional form in the past, the squad feel confident that the R1 can prove competitive yet again and establish a presence towards the top.

After an exceptional start to their 2024 campaign, optimism remains high that the momentum can be carried forward into what promises to be yet another exciting weekend of racing.

Donington Park is also set to host the second Omologato Superpole session of the 2024 season.

The first occurrence of the one-lap qualifying format at Round 1 in Navarra saw Kent claim a sensational pole position, only adding to the excitement and anticipation as this weekend drawers nearer.

Another trio of races follow on Saturday and Sunday, guaranteed to provide a large dose of on-track thrills.

With the team sitting fourth in the standings, it’s full focus on securing an addition of championship points and retaining their position towards the top of the table.

Danny Kent

Rider

“I’m feeling eager and excited to get to Donington Park this weekend. The team and I are in a good place and feel confident that we can continue progressing as we have been. Donington is a circuit that I really enjoy, and one that is known to suit the Yamaha R1 really well. The bike has been strong there in the past, so I’m confident that we have everything at our disposal to put together a successful weekend.”

Tim Martin

Team Owner

“Donington Park should be a good circuit for the Yamaha. The R1 is a proven race winner around there, so we’re all really excited to get going. We made a lot of progress at Oulton Park, so the team head towards this weekend feeling really positive. We hope to be really competitive at Donington Park, but have no doubt that it’ll be a tough weekend to fight at the front. We’ve got quite a few sponsors and team guests with us this weekend, so hopefully we can put a show on and give everyone something to cheer about.”
